About me

I would like to be recognized for possessing the ability to bring together unrelated concepts, ideas and functions to create new possibilities that results in successful outcomes and scientific discoveries for the benefit of humanity.

Know me more

As a passionate and dedicated Machine Learning Research Scientist, I am driven by the opportunity to apply technology to a diverse range of challenges aimed at improving people's lives and experiences. Previously, I served as a post-doctoral fellow at University of Toronto and Vector Institute, collaborating closely with WangLab team, where I delved into cutting-edge research in the field of graph-based machine learning algorithms. Simultaneously, I also worked as a Machine Learning Research Intern at Cyclica, a pioneering data-driven drug discovery company located in Toronto, which was acquired by Recursion Pharmaceuticals in May 2023.

With a foundation built upon a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Bio-electric/Biomedical Engineering, my journey has been fueled by an unwavering passion for leveraging technology in the healthcare domain. During my doctoral studies at University of Manitoba, particularly within EMILab, I dedicated my efforts to pioneering novel 2D and 3D microwave imaging algorithms aimed at advancing breast cancer imaging and tumor detection.

Beyond academia and research, I find solace in cherished moments with family and friends. Art, particularly painting, serves as both a creative outlet and a source of inspiration in my life. Moreover, I am deeply committed to advocating for equity and inclusion in STEM fields, actively championing initiatives that empower women and inspire young girls and underrepresented minorities to pursue their academic interests towards rewarding careers in science and technology. Over the years, I've been honored to contribute my efforts to organizations like IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), striving to break biases and foster a more inclusive landscape within STEM communities.

To delve deeper into my ongoing endeavors, I invite you to explore my blog posts and publications where I share insights into my current research and personal reflections on the journey thus far.
